Out of the blue came the second thought/early spring 2008

Louise had been in Leicester visiting her seccond daughter Hannah, when she came home she said to me that they [David & Hannah ] were thinking about going to austraila .
well i bet they didnt even think about us ,as the kids get older they just do the things they want and dont realy think about there parents ,i think its just flying the nest thing, nothing you can do about it. well the next thing she said was why dont we think about moving away and hopfully start a new life somewhere else and get out of this rat race this country is turning into.meanwhile i also had spotted adverts in daily papers and also truckstop new, a free paper for truck drivers given away at trucksops , both had canadian companys looking for drivers as there was a shortage of truck drivers in Canada as well as the US but thats another story to getting a job there, so we talked about where we could go and wat we could do and Canada kept coming up , i had spotted a expo advertized, on the net down in London [OPPOTUNITIES CANADA EXPO O8]
so we decided to book two ticket and go down and see watt it was all about, and that we would not tell anybody wat we were up too as not to cause any upset ,and that included our kids

  1. Hiya Mark, i found it :)
We too went to the "expo 08" but in Leeds and found that there were no truck driving recruiters there, managed to get a bit of info on different provinces, moving companies and such, but it was not worth the entrance fee, which if i recall was around £20-£25 each. i found out more info from Britishexpats and Britishtruckersabroad websites and they are free.
Catch you later matey, i'll give you a bell later this week.
