Back Home April 2009

We landed back in the UK early morning and it was grey damp and cold, and by the time we got through customs we were starting to feel tired as you never get much sleep on these flights and anyway had spent the last couple of hours talking to two people in front of us [Bob and Jean].

we jumped on the coach to the car park and back to the Trooper which was covered in jet fuel from the aircraft flying overhead.

Ah the M 25 at rush hour

anyway two and half hours later we got home.

After we had had a real cup of tea,we fetched the dog and the kids not necessarily in that order, and the same day, we settled down to make a list of things that we needed to do and get so as to be out in Canada before the cut off time of October. As this company will not take new foreign drivers on after this due to the fact that they like some miles under your belts before the ice comes, as the weights are up to 62 tons and they will park you up if their not confident with your driving.

The company we had seen in Saskatoon had asked us to compile all the documents that would be needed to be put forward for Saskatchewan immigrant nominee program [sinp] there are several reasons for this, but two are that they will be spending a lot of money bringing me over training and getting us set up in Saskatoon ,and not to mention our own expense setting up home, and one of the others is that its easier to get most of these documents whilst we are still in the UK
